Garrett Bauer

Garrett William Bauer is a baseball player who has experience in both minor league and independent baseball, primarily as a pitcher. Born on September 4, 1981, in St. Louis, MO, he bats right-handed and throws left-handed. He stands at 6 feet 1 inch and weighs 185 pounds.
Bauer was drafted twice: first by the Texas Rangers in the 34th round of the 2000 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Lafayette High School (Wildwood, MO), and then by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 27th round of the 2004 MLB June Amateur Draft from Missouri Baptist University. He also attended the University of Missouri.
He played two seasons in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization with the Missoula Osprey (Pioneer League) in 2004 and the Yakima Bears (Northwest League) in 2005. Following his time in affiliated ball, he pitched for the Rockford RiverHawks in the Frontier League (an independent league) from 2006 to 2008, where he was selected as an All-Star each year. Across all levels (minor and independent leagues), Bauer compiled a career record of 24 wins and 18 losses with a 3.59 ERA over 5 seasons.
After his playing career, Garrett Bauer transitioned into coaching. He has served as a pitching coach for St. Louis Community College and as a Lead Instructor at Balls-n-Strikes Youth Softball & Baseball Facility in Brentwood, Missouri.
